Wih the launching of his 48th book, THE BUNA SHOTS: The Amazing Story Behind Two Photographs that Changed the Course of World War Two, Stephen returns to a subject he covered in the acclaimed Heroes of Hamel – Australians and Americans fighting alongside each other in a make-or-break battle. This time, this true account, described by reviewer Peter Mason as reading like “a fast-paced high-octane thriller,” takes us to the WWII jungles and swamps of Papua New Guinea, and a struggle not only against the Imperial Japanese Army, but against the governments of Australia and the US, for truth in war.
