Back in March, 2018, my wife Louise and I attended Adelaide Writers Week. This was the second year in a row that I was on the program of Australia’s most prestigious writers festival. In the past I’ve been lucky enough to get gigs at the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Byron Bay festivals. They’re all different, and have their own personalities. In Adelaide you’re under the trees in 35 degree C heat, in front of 1500 people. The side events for authors are great in Adelaide, too. I’ll write more on the interesting fellow authors we’ve encountered at these events in later posts.
